MACRo 2011 call for papers

The 3rd International Conference on Recent Achievements in Mechatronics, Automation, Computer Sciences and Robotics (MACRo2011) will be held at SAPIENTIA University, Faculty of Technical and Human Sciences Tîrgu Mureş on April 8-9, 2011.

Contributions based on theoretical research, simulation, experimental work, design, development, testing and measurements are solicited for presentation at the conference.


The conference topics include, but are not limited to:

Mechatronic systems

• Mechanical engineering

• Manufacturing

• Automation

• Computer science

• Robotics

• Telecommunication


Prospective authors are asked to submit a minimum 4 page length English language paper according to the template found on the Conference website, no later than February 15, 2011. Please upload the paper using the instructions found on the Conference website.

All the accepted papers will be published in the MACRo2011 Conference Proceedings (with ISBN number), and after the reviewing process, selected papers will be proposed for publication in the Acta Universitatis Sapientiae, the international scientific journal of the Sapientia University, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering series.

MACRo 2011 - Best Paper Award

Beginning with the 3rd edition, the MACRo Program Committee will select one paper from each section of the International Conference on Recent Achievements in Mechatronics, Automation, Computer Science and Robotics, to be honored with a Best Paper Award.
The winners will be selected based on reviewers’ recommendation and the quality of the oral presentation of the paper.
For a paper to gain this award one of the authors has to be registered at the conference and must present the paper.
The winners will be announced during the closing ceremony of the conference and the best paper awards will also be posted on the Conference website.

MACRo 2011 Poster Session

The MACRo 2011 Organizing Committee invites submissions for Poster Session, at the 3rd International Conference on Recent Achievements in Mechatronics, Automation, Computer Science and Robotics, to be held on April 8-9 2011, in Tîrgu Mureş, Romania. Some of the submitted full papers might be accepted only as a poster presentation, but poster papers are also solicited. The Poster Session will run in parallel with the Industrial Reality Session, located in the University Aula.

Poster presenters will be expected to be present during the Conference in order to explain their poster and to present any supplemental material. Attendees will browse among the posters and speak directly with the presenters. The poster session is intended to be informal, conversational.

Current Advances in Biomedical Engineering - special session

Topics of this special session will address problems in:

biomedicine, physiology and biology relating to model formulation, identification and validation;

• signal and image processing, analysis and interpretation;

• developments in measurement, modeling, simulation and visualization of biomedical system;

• decision support and control.

Industrial reality - parallel session

Industry vendors are kindly encouraged to sustain presentation in the University Aula during the conference, on April 8. Exposition stand (desk, chairs, poster wall) is available on request .

The official language of the Conference is English.

Industry vendors are also encouraged to present their job opportunities in help of graduating students.


For presentations and/or exposition there are no fees, but even so, the organizing committee shall be grateful for any sponsorship. The sponsoring company logo, short presentation and web link will be posted on Conference website and in the Conference Proceedings .
